An over-centre toggle latch (draw latch) is a four-part hinge mechanism that holds a toolbox, flight case, or storage bin shut and pulls the lid closed. The base and keeper plates screw to the box wall and lid respectively; the lever pivots on the base and carries a link pin; the link loop's hook rests on the keeper's ridge. Adjustable parameters control screw size, plate spacing, lever and link geometry, pivot diameter, and the over-centre offset that locks the mechanism closed.
