These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Pixite Inc. (“Pixite”, “we”, “us”) and govern your use of partforge, the service at www.partforge.ai, including its website, app, API, and the git repositories it serves (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service is a beta
partforge is in beta. Features change, appear, and are withdrawn without notice, and the Service may be interrupted or suspended for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We do not promise that the Service will be available, error-free, or preserved in its current form.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Accounts are created by signing in with a one-time link or code sent to your email address, and during the beta an account may require an invite or an approved waitlist entry. You are responsible for keeping your email address reachable and for everything done through your account. Tell us through the contact form if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, or to create content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful;
- attempt to access another person’s private forges, chats, or account, or to circumvent any access control;
- abuse the Service or the AI models behind it, including by attempting to extract system prompts, overwhelm the Service, or generate content designed to cause harm;
- scrape or bulk-collect content beyond what public pages and the public git clone URLs offer;
- resell or sublicense access to the Service.
We may limit, suspend, or close an account that breaks these rules.
4. Your forges and what you create
You own the forges, parts, prompts, sketches, images, and files you create or upload (“Your Content”). You grant Pixite the license needed to store, process, display, and back up Your Content in order to run the Service, including sending your prompts and attachments to the AI providers that power it.
A forge is private until you publish it. When you publish a forge you make it public under the license you choose for it, and you represent that you have the right to grant that license. Public forges can be viewed, cloned, and, where the license permits, referenced or remixed by other users and by the partforge assistant working on their behalf. Unpublishing a forge stops it from being shown, but copies already made under its license remain licensed.
Support staff can read a private forge and its chats only while a support-access grant you gave on a feedback report is active, and every such read is recorded.
5. AI-generated output
The Service uses large language models to draft parts. Generated geometry, dimensions, tolerances, materials, and advice are suggestions, not verified engineering. You are responsible for checking anything you make before you manufacture it, and especially before you rely on it to bear load, contain pressure, hold heat, or touch a person or animal. Pixite does not warrant that generated parts are fit for any purpose.
6. Your own API keys
If you connect your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or OpenRouter key, requests made with it are billed by that provider under its terms, and you are responsible for that usage. We store connected keys encrypted and never display them again after connection. You may disconnect a key at any time.
7. Subscriptions, limits, and payment
Paid plans are billed by Stripe on the schedule shown at checkout. A subscription renews until you cancel it, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Every plan, including the free tier, carries usage limits that reset on a rolling schedule; we may change limits and plan pricing on notice. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable.
8. Copyright
We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Pixite’s notice-and-takedown process is described at pixiteapps.com/dmca, and it applies to the Service.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time through the contact form. We may suspend or close an account for breach of these Terms or to comply with the law. If your account is closed, forges you had published may remain available to others under the licenses you granted, and copies others made under those licenses are unaffected.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pixite and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Pixite against claims arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Diego, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date, and for material changes we will email account holders. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
