What the AI judge checked

Pass:The overall form matches the reference: the same kind of object, the same silhouette from the matching angle, allowing for the requested change: 20 % larger in diameter than the photo, height and bore unchanged
- Opus 4.8: pass: The render shows a knurled cylindrical knob with a top bore matching the reference silhouette, appearing wider in diameter as requested.
- GPT-5.6 Sol: pass: The result retains the reference’s low cylindrical puck form with a knurled perimeter and chamfered edges.
Fail:Proportions match: the relative sizes of the major dimensions agree with the reference within what the eye can judge, allowing for the requested change: 20 % larger in diameter than the photo, height and bore unchangedAI judges disagreed
- Opus 4.8: pass: The disc is wider relative to its height than the reference, consistent with a 20% diameter increase while keeping height.
- GPT-5.6 Sol: fail: The side silhouette does not clearly demonstrate the required 20% diameter increase while preserving the original height.
Pass:Every major feature visible in the reference (holes, slots, bosses, tabs, lips) is present in the result, allowing for the requested change: 20 % larger in diameter than the photo, height and bore unchanged
- Opus 4.8: pass: The diamond knurl, chamfered edges, and central bore are all present in the render.
- GPT-5.6 Sol: pass: The major visible features are present, including the cylindrical body, perimeter diamond knurl, edge chamfers, and top bore.
Pass:Those features sit where the reference has them, allowing for the requested change: 20 % larger in diameter than the photo, height and bore unchanged
- Opus 4.8: pass: The knurl wraps the perimeter and the bore sits centered in the top, matching the reference layout.
- GPT-5.6 Sol: pass: The knurl remains around the cylindrical sidewall and the bore is centered on the top face.
Fail:Nothing is present that the reference does not show — no decorative or unexplained geometry, allowing for the requested change: 20 % larger in diameter than the photo, height and bore unchangedAI judges disagreed
- Opus 4.8: pass: No extra geometry beyond the knurl, chamfer, and bore is visible.
- GPT-5.6 Sol: fail: The bore has an unexplained flat-sided irregular profile and the knurl intersections show prominent star-like artifacts absent from the reference.
Fail:The hole in the top is the same size as before — widened around it, not scaled with itAI judges disagreed
- Opus 4.8: pass: The top view shows a relatively small bore compared to the enlarged disc, indicating the hole stayed the same while the body widened around it.
- GPT-5.6 Sol: fail: The top opening is visibly noncircular and the renders provide no clear evidence that its original bore size was preserved.
