Build notes
This should print and all snap together pretty seamlessly. I had to use a bit of wiggling to get the arms onto the little grommets on the side but my printer isn't the best at little features like that. Still, better then requiring screws and has worked for a while now.
It was a little tricky to get the geometry right so that this would open enough to access the bottom section. I had to move the arms in enough to avoid the rounded part of the tin, and then cut a bit out of the back of the arms so it would open more. I still don't love how little access there is to the bottom tray, I would recommend just doing one row on the bottom so you can shake anything in those sections to the front of the tin to get at them.
I added a little finger scoop section to the front of each tray so you can pull small items forward and get them out. I still have some trouble with my chunky fingers.
This was a fun little build, but I think next time I'll do a two-layered tray where you just pull the top layer out to avoid the complicated mechanism and give more access to the bottom.
Enjoy! And post up photos of any prints you make of this. I'd love to see.
